James J. Douglas

James J. Douglas’ business and real estate law experience spans over 25 years. In that time, Mr. Douglas worked at larger corporate and commercial law firms where he handled complex transactions in the areas of corporate securities, real property and commercial law, and also as a sole practitioner for nearly a decade. The sum of these experiences allows him to use his big-firm expertise to create powerful solutions to complex issues while continuing to develop one-on-one, long-term attorney-client relationships as a sole practitioner.

Mr. Douglas finds it particularly rewarding to work beyond clients’ expectations, sometimes achieving what others believe cannot be done.

He shared his knowledge with colleagues when he has served as chair of the Nassau County Bar Association Corporate Law Committee.
